Jeannette: Winter photoshoot in Maastricht

Jeannette wanted to give herself a special birthday present: an artistic photo session. Being an adventurous spirit inspired by nature, Jeannette thought of an outdoor location. She grew up and lives in Maastricht and enjoys the beautiful nature of South Limburg. That made our choice of location easy: Pietersplas, a nature resort on the Maas next to the Maastricht Marina.

Photo session with a Glass Artist

Ria is a glass artist based in Hoenderloo in Gelderland. She was looking for portraits of herself together with her artworks to use for media coverage about her. I always enjoy working with creative professionals and love glass art, so I was immediately excited about this photo session.

Venice, part 2

You might remember I wanted to share more photos from my Venetian holiday. Venice is so full of inspiration for me I just could not fit my favorite impressions of it into a single post! Here come more images, a mix of tourist attractions, shabby corners, glamourous shop windows, old and modern art.

When I seek another word for ‘music’, I never find any other word than ‘Venice’.

Winter Moments

As a native Russian I miss one thing in the Netherlands: snow in the winter. Each time it snows here it feels like a gift (I don’t’ talk about traffic collapses now). I am brought back into my childhood with all its joy. Except, at the time my toys did not include a camera. You got it right: here come some photos!

Saeed en Saeedeh: A Romantic and Cozy Photoshoot in Rotterdam

Here comes the second part of the beautiful loveshoot photo story with Saeed and Saeedeh in Rotterdam.

We started our photo session in the park and had both sunshine and rain. When the rain got strong and we decided it was time for a cup of coffee. We went to a café, and I could not avoid making some photos in this nostalgic and cinematic atmosphere. The strong contrast between light and shadow also made me think of Edward Hopper paintings.

Saeed and Saeedeh: A Romantic Photoshoot in Rotterdam

Today I want to share a wonderful love story photo session in Rotterdam.

Saeed and Saeedeh originally come from Iran. They met each other as students, and academic career brought them to several countries. For the past years, they live and work in the Netherlands. It’s been ten years since their marriage, and it was certainly time for a special photoshoot together.
