Josefina wanted a special photo session for her three little children: Bethany, Mienie and Wim.
Not a standard studio shoot but a unique reportage that would capture the children’s personality – with spontaneous expressions, emotion and fun.
The family’s beautiful garden in Apeldoorn was clearly a perfect location for a photo session: plenty of space to play around and lots of things to do! We started with some photos of the children together in a fruit garden.
Then Bethany and Mienie plucked flowers and went to a fairy-willow searching for the Little Red Riding Hood there.
There was a glamorous pink pedal automobile to drive and even – yes! – a real pony to ride! Bethany is already a real jockey girl at her four years old – wow!
Mienie is only two years old but she gladly joined her sister to play with the pony. Mienie also liked to drive the little car. But it was driving a real tractor that made her most happy (that’s a separate story, though!).
And look at little Wim, eight months old, as he plays in the hay. He is so sweet and adorable!
I also love Wim’s portraits with a Tyrolean hat – it used to belong to his father when he was a baby, that is really special!
What a wonderful autumn day with a beautiful family!
